Session 4: Rallying Support for your 501(c)6 Organization

As a result of this session, you will learn how to create and maintain governing documents such as Bylaws and learn how to focus your nonprofit on keeping your charter in legal compliance.

Topics: Member/Investor Relations, Program Design, Non-Dues vs Dues Revenue, Fundraising, Volunteer, Diversity of Chamber Income, Messaging.

Suggested attendees: Nonprofit leaders, staff, volunteers; Appropriate for nonprofit organizations including 501(c)3 or 501(c)6

Cost: $99 for micro credential, single course.  For virtual attendees, a Zoom link will be sent a week prior to the session to those who registered. Earned micro credential or certificates earned will only be awarded to those who registered.

About the Presenter:

Presenter: Julianne Buck, CAP®

About the Presenter: Julianne Buck, CAP®, is one of those kids who grew up rural, went away to university, had a career in urban America, and then came home to work and raise her family, so hometown quality of life is very important to her.

For the past 19 years, she has been the first and only Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Grundy County. She has taken the Foundation’s assets from $0 to $14.5 million and has ingrained the Foundation as a partner throughout the region.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Buck has served on the boards of a number of nonprofits and professional associations. Most recently, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Council on Planned Giving, teaches a Certificate of Nonprofit Administration at Joliet Junior College, and has launched Nonprofit Brains & Brawn, LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to nonprofits, donors, and professional advisors. Julianne became a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® in 2020.
